Tajo Studio focuses on the agency of materials, examining how matter itself directs, disrupts, and reshapes processes through incident and repetition.
At this stage, the studio primarily works with traditional silversmithing techniques, particularly hammering. Through experimental material combinations and the natural growth of form, they seek to activate a subtle vitality within silver—a material steeped in tradition and value.
Tajo Studio was founded by two artist-silversmiths, Xie (Yuan) Yating, Feng Chongshan.
