All works by Tajo Studio are based on original designs and handcrafted processes. We offer bespoke commissions across jewellery, silverware, and related objects, developed in response to individual contexts and requirements.
Below is a brief outline of our commissioning process, offering an overview of how we work.
1. Initial Consultation
You are welcome to get in touch with us via the website, email, or social media to begin an initial conversation. We will discuss your ideas, references, and an approximate budget.
If this is your first commission, we can also introduce different materials and processes to help you better understand and develop the project.
2. Design Proposal
Following our initial discussion, we will develop a design proposal in response to your requirements, supported by drawings.
We can refine the proposal through online conversations and, where appropriate, provide alternative options until the design feels right.
Once the design and pricing are confirmed, a 50% deposit is required to proceed with material preparation.
3. Making
The making process combines traditional silversmithing techniques with experimental approaches. We can share updates throughout this stage if desired.
Each piece is developed through a time-intensive process to ensure a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The timeline will be discussed and agreed in advance.
3. Completion and Delivery
Once the work is completed, detailed photographs will be provided for final confirmation.
Shipping will be arranged after the remaining balance has been settled. We will select appropriate packaging and delivery methods based on your location.
Please note that hallmarking (UK) is required prior to dispatch and may take approximately two additional weeks.
We’d be glad to hear from you.
